DAY 1 ­ DEPART USA
Leave today for the land "down under." Connect at Los Angeles for your flight to Australia.

DAY 2 ­ EN ROUTE
Enjoy the amenities on board as you travel across the Pacific and cross the International Dateline, skipping a day ahead of your friends back home.

DAY 3 ­ SYDNEY TO CAIRNS
Arrive Sydney early morning and transfer to your flight to the northeastern coast of the state of Queensland. At Cairns you'll be met and flown to Lizard Island for your first look at the Barrier Reef. You'll be ready to enjoy the resort and anticipate your first exploration of the reef.

DAYS 4 & 5 ­ LIZARD ISLAND
Located right on the Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island is home to some of the world's most spectacular diving. With only 40 rooms, this pristine island offers secluded unspoilt white sandy beaches and undisturbed privacy for guests. Divers can take daily trips to the reef and visit Lizard's most talked about scuba site, the Cod Hole. You can snorkel straight off the beach among giant clams and green sea turtles. OR ­ take a lunch aboard a dingy and spend all day discovering a colorful array of underwater residents.

DAY 6 ­ CAIRNS TO GLADSTONE
Depart Lizard Island today for the Cairns airport and your flight down the coast to Gladstone. Once there, you'll transfer to a hotel for an overnight stay at Gladstone, in order to catch your boat/plane to Heron Island tomorrow.

DAY 7 ­ GLADSTONE TO HERON ISLAND
Depart for Heron Island via helicopter or boat. Heron Island is an idyllic coral cay right on the Great Barrier Reef, and the resort combines nature with all the comforts. Swim straight off the beach over living coral, coloured fish and marine life. Enjoy some of the best reef diving in the world. Order a picnic lunch and find your own secluded beach spot.

DAYS 8 & 9 ­ HERON ISLAND

DAY 10 ­SYDNEY
Depart Heron Island by boat or helicopter to Gladstone and then your flight on to Sydney. See beautiful Sydney Harbour from the evening dinner cruise with Captain Cook Cruises.

DAY 11 ­ SYDNEY - USA
You'll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight from Sydney to Los Angeles and arrive home the same day after regaining your "lost day."
